Cashier/Sales Associate - Store 6390
About The Position
The Cashier/Sales Associate welcomes customers, operates the register, supports sales, and helps keep the store clean, safe, stocked, and organized. The role includes cleaning restrooms, gas pumps, store floors, windows, and entryways; picking up litter; and taking trash to the dumpster in all weather conditions. Associates may cross-train in other departments, including deli, and help where needed. This is a part-time opening with first- and second-shift availability, including shifts from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. The listed pay rate is $15.00 per hour. Weekend and holiday availability is required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be willing to work hard and remain on their feet for most of the shift.
- Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Must frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and be subject to a criminal-history background check.
- Friendly, positive demeanor and ability to make customers feel welcome.
- Attention to detail, reliability, punctuality, and adaptability to varied tasks.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers and operate the register accurately and efficiently.
- Handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while complying with age-verification and legal requirements.
- Provide friendly customer service and upsell when possible.
- Clean and maintain the inside and outside of the store, including restrooms, gas pumps, floors, windows, and entryways.
- Pick up litter and trash and take trash to the dumpster in all kinds of weather.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
- Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Help the team wherever needed.
