Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous cash handling experience is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year bank teller/cage experience.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Strong mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must have advance computer capabilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to speak English required.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software, including Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct supervision of all cage/cash operations employees and ensures the security of company funds.
  • Sets up credit and check cashing accounts for patrons, issues cashier banks, investigates variances, and ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations as they pertain to the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission and KRM Wagering, LLC.
  • Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work.
  • Addresses complaints and resolves guest and employee issues.
  • Orders supplies, maintains logs, and schedules employees as needed.
  • Meets deadlines and maintains proper documentation.
  • Assists in ensuring accuracy of jackpot payouts and related safekeeping deposits and withdrawals.
  • Monitors cash levels in all Cage locations.
  • Supervises large payouts by cashiers.
  • Makes recommendations for changes to policies and procedures in order to improve efficiencies.
  • Documents attendance and variances and works in conjunction with the other Cage Supervisors or Cage/Count Manager to review employee files and prepare corrective action documentation.
  • Completes daily cash accountability logs, gives performance feedback and employee disciplinary actions.
  • Prepares cashier transfers, ensures that accurate paperwork is completed for all functions of the position including end of shift balancing of cashier windows and cage.
  • Ensures compliance with Title 31.
  • Ensures preventative maintenance is performed on equipment in the Cage.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all wagering operations data.
  • Informs Cage/Count Manager of all incidents or disputes related to patrons, employees and inter-departmental issues.
