About The Position

We're looking for a welcoming and detail-oriented Cashier/Host to join our team in Opelousas, United States. In this dynamic role, you'll be the first and last impression for our guests, creating a warm atmosphere while efficiently managing front-of-house operations. You'll combine exceptional customer service with accurate financial transactions, working collaboratively with our team to ensure every guest has a memorable experience. Requirements

  • Proven experience with cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for guest service
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
  • Physical capability to stand and walk for the duration of a normal shift
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English (hear, speak, read, and write)
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining consistent performance standards
  • Strong collaborative spirit with ability to work seamlessly as part of a team
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications as required by the organization

Nice To Haves

  • Six (6) months of experience as a host in a high-volume and/or fine dining environment

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, escorting them to their tables based on party size and assigned station assignments
  • Answer incoming calls professionally and book reservations using the company reservation system in accordance with established standards
  • Process payment transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems and multiple payment methods while maintaining strict cash handling procedures
  • Manage station assignments, rotating planning, and opening/closing/securing procedures with meticulous attention to detail
  • Complete all side work duties in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner to support restaurant operations
  • Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate seating and resolve any guest concerns
  • Maintain organized records and documentation related to reservations and transactions
  • Adapt flexibly to changing priorities and guest needs while maintaining composure in high-volume situations
