About The Position

The Cashier/Fueler is responsible for providing high quality customer service to both external and internal customers. This role involves a variety of tasks to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain store and fuel operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of three months related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Certification in propane filling upon hire.
  • Current Food Handlers card is required within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to follow both oral and written instructions
  • Ability to read and follow established policies and procedures.
  • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate to customers, clients, and co-workers.
  • Must meet Employer's grooming and dress code standards.
  • Must clear complete background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be available and willing to work different shifts of a 24/7 facility.
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to Native American culture required.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and responds courteously to customers as they enter the lot and/or store.
  • Offers to help customer locate items; confirms price checks.
  • Answers phone in a professional manner.
  • Restocks and rotates inventory to assure freshness of products.
  • Maintains self-service beverage stations; regularly cleans and restocks to ensure plenty of supply is on hand.
  • Checks and maintains ice machine and fills when appropriate.
  • Fills fuel tank of vehicles with gasoline or diesel fuel to level specified by customer.
  • Washes customer car windows and checks fluid levels upon request.
  • Assist with filling customer propane tanks.
  • Assure that pumps are kept clean from dust and grime.
  • Assists with car wash by keeping water clean for waxing, change soap, and hose down inside of car wash and brushes.
  • Assures parking lot is clean; empty trash cans.
  • During snow and icy weather; will assure that sidewalks and parking lots are clear.
  • Sorts and counts bottle return and assure that bottle room is kept clean.
  • Assures restrooms are kept clean and restocks toilet tissue and paper towels as needed.
  • Fueler will assist with sweeping and mopping floor, clean and organize back room, removes boxes and crates and stocks inventory.
  • Reports any safety and maintenance issues to supervisor.
  • Performs a variety of other duties as assigned by supervisor.
