About The Position
We are currently hiring friendly, motivated Part-Time Cashiers / Front of House Team Members to join the team at our new Slim Chickens restaurant in Waukee, IA! Slim Chickens is a leading national brand in the fast-growing emerging 'better chicken' fast-casual segment. This is a great opportunity for starting and growing a career in the restaurant field. The cashier, whether in the restaurant lobby or the drive thru, is the first person our guests interact with! Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Experience with POS systems and cash registers
- Basic computer knowledge
- Good math skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to effectively resolve complaints
- No restaurant experience is required; we will train you!
Responsibilities
- Greeting customers when entering and leaving the premises
- Taking orders on the drive thru headset
- Taking orders on the point of sale in the lobby
- Interacting with all guests in a friendly manner
- Managing transactions using a cash register
- Balancing the cash register
- Accepting payments in cash, credit or check
- Providing change and receipts
- Filling drinks and making shakes
- Processing returns and refunds, and resolving customer complaints
- Upselling and cross-selling when appropriate
