About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring a part-time Cashier/Food Service Worker at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health in Easton, Maryland. The role operates a point-of-sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains clean coffee and cashier stations. Team members prepare and serve food, support catering orders, cashier in retail areas, maintain supplies and food stock, and help ensure safe food temperatures and accurate records. The schedule includes shifts from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; days may vary, and rotating weekends are included. Pay is $17.00 to $18.50 per hour. Free shift meals are offered, and the employer is willing to train.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare meats, vegetables, baked goods, desserts, and catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the point-of-sale system.
• Perform general cleaning duties and remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Process cash transactions according to established procedures, maintain cash accuracy with receipts, and make deposits at the end of each shift.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
• Set up the serving line, take and record temperatures, and notify cooks when food temperatures are outside acceptable limits.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Set up items for purchase daily.
• Keep the refrigerator stocked and rotate products using the first-in, first-out rule.
• Stock pantries with correct daily par levels and record replenished amounts on floor stock forms for each unit.
• Record refrigerator temperatures on floor stock forms daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
