About The Position

Wolfgang Puck Catering is hiring a part-time Cashier/Food Service Worker at The California Endowment in Los Angeles, California. The position is scheduled Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The role operates the point-of-sale system, assists the Chef with food preparation, prepares coffee, and maintains clean coffee and cashier stations. It also supports service across retail areas and helps prepare catering orders. The pay range is $19.00 to $22.00 per hour. Previous customer service and cashier experience is required.

Responsibilities

Help prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts, and assist with catering orders.
Perform cashier duties using the POS system, following established procedures and maintaining cash accuracy with receipts.
Make deposits at the end of each shift.
Perform general cleaning duties and remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
Inventory and restock supplies and food products.
Set up the serving line, take and record food temperatures, and notify cooks if temperatures are outside acceptable limits.
Serve hot and cold items to customers.
Set up items for purchase daily.
Keep the refrigerator stocked and rotate products using the first-in, first-out rule.
Stock pantries to correct daily par levels and record replenished amounts on the floor stock form for each unit.
Record refrigerator temperatures on the floor stock form daily.
Follow company policies and procedures for safe handling of knives and hot pans, wearing slip-resistant shoes, and using proper lifting techniques.
Perform other duties as assigned.
