Requirements

Strong communication and customer service skills
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Basic computer and math skills
Ability to assist customers with product-related questions
Ability to stand and move throughout the store for extended periods
Comfortable using computers and register systems
Professional appearance and demeanor

Nice To Haves

1+ year of cashier or customer service experience preferred
Hardware or home improvement retail experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Process customer purchases quickly and accurately while handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions with confidence.
Greet customers warmly, answer questions, assist with product inquiries, and provide support both in-store and over the phone.
Collaborate with fellow team members to keep operations running smoothly and support one another during busy periods.
Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized checkout area while helping ensure store accuracy and loss prevention.
Show up on time, ready to contribute, and maintain a professional, positive attitude throughout the day.
Represent Norfolk with friendliness, professionalism, and a commitment to exceptional service.
