About The Position

Restaurant City is a restaurant equipment and supply company serving chefs, restaurant owners, caterers, and food trucks across the Sarasota area. Our showroom is busy, hands-on, and never boring — you'll help a food truck owner find a fryer in the morning and check out a chef restocking smallwares ahead of the weekend rush in the afternoon. We're looking for a friendly, detail-oriented person to assist customers at our front counter, along with maintaining a clean, organized showroom to highlight our products. Requirements

Friendly, team-first attitude and a commitment to first-class customer service
Strong attention to detail when entering orders and taking payment
Basic computer skills for POS data entry
Urgent, proactive approach — you see what needs doing and do it
Ability to follow all company work and safety rules
Must be 18 or older
Must be able to pass a criminal background check

Nice To Haves

Retail/wholesale or restaurant experience
Experience with a food service or kitchen equipment distributor
Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite and Gmail

Responsibilities

Greet customers at the front counter and direct them to the right product or salesperson
Run the register and walk customers through checkout
Enter transactions accurately in our Point of Sale and payment processing systems
Stock shelves and keep the showroom clean, organized, and well-presented
Update price tags and product signage
Communicate quickly with team members and management to resolve customer issues
