About The Position

The Cage Cashier performs all monetary transactions presented, adhering to all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations. Safeguards company assets and prepares all necessary internal paperwork. Responsible to provide a level of service which is gracious, kind, and warm creating an exciting environment and World Class Service by delivering Old-World Hospitality and Charm with our guests. Comply and follow with strict adherence to Internal Control Policies and Procedures, state regulations, Bank Securities Act, Title 31 Rules and Regulations, and the company’s Responsible Gaming Plan.

• Attendance and punctuality are an essential function of the position

• Attend required training sessions offered by the casino
• Obtain required license(s)
• Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations
• Responsible for taking the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco
• Knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department
• Knowledge of the property’s programs to address problem gambling
• Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls
• Responsible for taking the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management
• Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any Team Member that they have knowledge of

Nice To Haves

• Previous casino-industry experience is not required
• Banking and guest service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Performing verifications on loose and bundled money, coin transactions and check cashing
• Processing jackpots check cashing, redeeming valid gaming vouchers received from patrons for an equivalent amount of cash and redeeming chips for cash. Other transaction types may occur
• Safeguarding company assets and adhering to all cage policies and procedures to include Responsible Gaming and Title 31
• Maintaining and being held accountable for all funds entrusted to him/her on an assigned shift
• Creating teamwork by helping co-workers with essential functions
• Balancing all money transactions and paperwork
• Meeting all attendance guidelines of the job and adhering to regulatory, departmental and company policies
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures to include strict adherence to attendance and appearance guidelines as well as confidentiality regarding player information
• Handling guest financial transactions
• Being alert for fraud, forged/counterfeit currency and/or vouchers or chips
• Balancing all funds under his/her responsibility and preparing reconciliation reports accordingly
• Ensuring at all times that the cash inventory is well secure
• Issuing free slot play, up to authorized limit, and food coupons to guests
• Conducting themselves in a gracious, kind, and warm manner that creates a sense of fondness, as well as professional, courteous, and responsive manner, which reflects positively on the company and its core values
• Other duties as assigned
