About The Position

This position is for a part-time Cashier at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The role involves safeguarding company assets, adhering to gaming regulations, and managing funds entrusted to the employee during their assigned shift. The Cashier will provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service to guests in a confidential manner, foster teamwork by assisting coworkers, and balance all money transactions and paperwork. Attendance and adherence to company policies are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED is required.
  • 2 years money handling experience.
  • Proven proficiency with computers, with some knowledge of computer keyboard, is required.
  • Must be able to enter data, read, and interpret output from a computer.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods.
  • Must be willing to learn all phases of Cage activity.
  • Must have good math skills.
  • Must have excellent guest and human relations skills.
  • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Must read, write and speak English.
  • Dexterity in hands and fingers.
  • Visual and auditory abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year cage experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safeguards company assets.
  • Adheres to compliance of all Gaming regulations and any other governing agencies where applicable.
  • Maintains and is held accountable for all funds entrusted to him/her on an assigned shift.
  • Provides prompt, friendly and courteous service to all guests in a confidential manner.
  • Creates teamwork by helping co-workers with essential functions.
  • Balances all money transactions and paperwork.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Maneuver to all areas of the casino.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned area.
  • Operate equipment with manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
  • Respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
  • Rack and stack chips.
  • Learn and follow strictly Title 31 and other gaming regulations.
  • Work from standing position for extended periods of time.
  • Perform reaching motions repeatedly.
