About The Position
This position is for a Cashier in the Auxiliary Gift Shoppe at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville. The role involves handling financial transactions, operating a cash register, and assisting with retail operations in the gift shop. The schedule is PRN with rotating shifts.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Receive and disburse money for services.
- Receive payment by cash, check, credit card and debit card and issue receipts, change, credits or refunds to customers.
- Operate cash registers and ensures accurate and efficient accounts of all transactions.
- Balance cash receipts and count cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure correct balance.
- In retail setting, assist with the receiving, unpacking, stocking, displaying, pricing, and sales of merchandise.
- Maintain clean and organized checkout area.
