About The Position

LV Petroleum is seeking to hire Cashiers and Porters for all shifts to join their brand new team. The company is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences at their travel centers, and customer satisfaction is their top priority. Walk-in interviews are held weekdays from 11 am - 4 pm at 16250 N AVE, HOLLAND, IA. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and providing excellent service. You will maintain the high standards of the travel centers by greeting customers, handling transactions, maintaining a clean station, staying informed about products, assisting with restocking, and collaborating with team members. As a Porter, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the facilities within the travel center, including restrooms, break areas, and entrances. You will perform daily cleaning routines, assist with minor repairs, help with equipment setup/teardown for events, monitor janitorial supplies, provide customer service, and adhere to safety regulations.

Requirements

Basic math skills and the ability to accurately handle cash and transactions.
Strong verbal communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Dependable, with flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in cashiering or customer service is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist with purchases and inquiries.
Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately using the POS system.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized cashier station and surrounding areas.
Stay informed about products, promotions, and store policies.
Assist with restocking and inventory management as needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Maintain cleanliness within the facility, focusing on restrooms, break areas, and entrances.
Perform daily cleaning routines such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Assist in minor repairs and maintenance tasks, alerting management to any major concerns.
Help with the setup and teardown of equipment for meetings and special events.
Monitor and maintain janitorial supply levels, reporting needs to management.
Provide exceptional customer service by being friendly and approachable.
Adhere to safety and health regulations at all times.
