About The Position

The Cash Vault Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all cash vault operations, ensuring the secure and accurate handling of cash and other valuables. This role manages the cash vault team, monitors cash flow, and ensures compliance with security protocols and company policies.

Requirements

  • One year certification from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read & interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, internet access and E-mail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, and be flexible in learning other team member tasks and duties as needed.
  • Regularly required to sit and frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily activities of the cash vault, and prepare weekly and other reporting.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline Vault operations
  • Provide daily reconciliation logs, and assist in weekly and monthly reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and coordinate with Security on physical controls and safety.
  • Provide cash vault documentation for audits and financial reporting.
  • Supervise daily cash vault operations, including reconciliations, cash handling and deposits.
  • Ensure the accurate reconciliation of cash balances at the start and end of shifts.
  • Manage cash inventory levels and order replenishments as needed.
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of cash for armored transportation services.
  • Train and manage cash vault clerks, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct regular audits of cash vault activities and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor and report on cash vault performance and security issues to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate and organized vault records.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper cash flow and reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned which could be directly related to unrelated to the original position.
