About The Position

Manages the office operations, cash collections and banking activities of the Yellowstone County Treasurer's office; does related work as required. Responsible for Internet banking processes for Treasurer's office; Responsible for positive pay processes, stop payments and check searches, ARP register and user maintenance, self administration, treasury information reporting and credit card payment transactions; Maintain templates on repetitive wires; Accumulate complete information for non-template wires; Maintain protested tax accounts, balancing and distribution of protested taxes; Track ACH deposits to bank account.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management or closely related field.
  • One (1) year of experience in accounting including office management and supervision of employees.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training totaling five (5) years.
  • Must pass a criminal and driving background check.
  • Must meet any County-specific employment eligibility standards.
  • Become bonded within the first six (6) months of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with tax collections, fee processing and distribution.
  • Previous Internet banking experience.
  • Governmental accounting experience.
  • Strong computer and Microsoft office skills.
