Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience desired
  • Business Math: Knowledge of mathematical concepts; ability to apply mathematics appropriately to business transactions. Level Working Knowledge: Describes the formulas for basic statistical functions such as average, median. Works with metric and non-metric scales and uses conversion tools and techniques. Assures accuracy using basic validation and cross-checking techniques. Works with fractions and decimal point notation and computations. Uses basic computational tools such as calculators, spreadsheets, or custom applications.
  • Finance and Accounting: Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. Level Basic Understanding: Describes the purpose of basic financial reports. Explains basic practices for financing projects; gives examples. States local financial tracking and reporting requirements. Explains basic financial and accounting concepts and terminology.
  • Office Support Tools: Knowledge of commonly used office hardware, software and equipment; ability to use the tools available at the desktop (for example: word processing, email, presentation software, and spreadsheets.) Level Working Knowledge: Describes the benefits and relative strengths of tools for a specific application. Demonstrates some advanced functions of at least one product. Performs first-level problem resolution before seeking help elsewhere. Helps colleagues with desktop tools where necessary. Works with all basic office-support products.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Level Working Knowledge: Applies an assigned technique for critical thinking in a decision-making process. Identifies, obtains, and organizes relevant data and ideas. Participates in documenting data, ideas, players, stakeholders, and processes. Recognizes, clarifies, and prioritizes concerns. Assists in assessing risks, benefits and consideration of alternatives.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation. Level Working Knowledge: Recognizes changing demands and priorities; validates changes with management. Obtains information about how current assignments contribute to organizational goals. Completes current work according to assigned priorities. Responds to day-to-day operational priorities while still making progress on project work. Performs at least 2-3 concurrent activities without reducing productivity.
  • Partnering for Clients' Success: Knowledge of and insight into clients' key objectives and ability to work and think alongside clients to achieve clients' current and future aspirations and successes. Level Working Knowledge: Communicates with clients to understand their existing and potential requirements and expectations. Assesses clients' business models, systems, challenges and strategies for winning. Seeks opportunities to nurture strong client relationships. Sets clients' goals, success and interest as the first priority ahead of one's own personal agenda. Assists in clients' workflow and market data analysis and reports the result to superiors.
  • Fraud Detection and Prevention: Knowledge of fraudulent situations; ability to utilize processes, tools, and techniques for detecting, addressing and preventing fraud. Level Basic Understanding: Cites examples of common frauds. Applies current technology in fraud prevention and detection. Identifies major initiatives, key issues, and ongoing investigations. Compiles a list of the types of fraud that can impact a specific line of business.
  • Remittance Processing: Knowledge of remittance processing; ability to implement processes, technologies, equipment and applications associated with customer receipts from payments made. Level Working Knowledge: Deposits remittance funds into the company's account immediately after collection. Processes all basic payment transactions. Resolves common operational issues and problems that arise. Works with exception processing and escalation or referral procedures. Utilizes basic tools and equipment for remittance processing.

Responsibilities

  • Executes tasks needed for cash application implementation.
  • Provide technical and process support for service representative, sales, and account management regarding cash application processes.
  • Understands the business environment for customer; providing guidance on the cash application process.
  • Execute and apply existing cash application processes in compliance with established regulations and policies.
