About The Position

The Cash & Control Case Manager, Annuity New Business is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of premium payments for annuity contracts, ensuring proper cash handling, reconciliation, and compliance with all regulatory and operational requirements. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding funds, minimizing financial risk, and maintaining the integrity of new business operations. The Case Manager monitors cash application trends, suspense activities, and processing discrepancies to identify opportunities for improved controls, efficiency, and accuracy. Through analysis of payment workflows and exception handling, this role helps drive process enhancements that reduce errors, improve turnaround times, and enhance the overall customer and advisor experience. Through a combination of cash oversight, process governance, and cross-functional collaboration, the Case Manager helps drive operational excellence, strengthen financial controls, and ensure a reliable and seamless premium application experience. You are Highly focused on the consumer and know how to translate feedback into actionable leadership. A proactive and analytical thinker with the ability to assess complex business scenarios and implement effective solutions. Requirements

  • Financial service or annuity operations experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree.
  • Exceptional organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to simultaneously manage multiple business processes or functions.
  • Exceptional level of accountability, discretion, and independent decision making.
  • Demonstrates a positive, professional, and proactive approach to work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, without the need for employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor, prioritize, and process cash related work items related to annuity new business and post issue functions.
  • Possess an understanding of annuity products, illustrations, systems, and industry regulations.
  • Monitor daily feeds and communications to ensure annuity orders are properly reflected in our system.
  • Communicate with Financial Advisors regarding the status of their pending annuity applications.
  • Partner with Product Management, Compliance, and various departments across the organization to orchestrate successful and compliant product launches.
  • Triage escalations and complex requests to determine the critical path to resolution, setting appropriate expectations and providing timely status updates to external partners.
  • Assist in systems testing and create training materials for the team.
  • Operate at a high level to consistently exceed business unit quality and service level agreement standards.
  • Collaborate on or lead cross functional tasks and projects, while acting as a liaison to provide updates to management.
