About The Position

The Cash Applications Agent is responsible for receiving and processing ACH, wires, credit cards and checks for deposits, verify amounts and check accuracy of deposits slips. Assist the Finance Team with questions related to transfers, refunds and GL requests.

Requirements

High School Degree or equivalent
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to develop new ideas and innovative solutions
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
Efficient time management/organization skills
Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a professional and concise manner
Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with AS400 and CargoWise a plus!

Responsibilities

Examine checks for endorsements and to verify other information such as dates, bank names, identification of the persons receiving payments and the legality of the documents
Resolve problems or discrepancies concerning customer’s accounts
Apply daily cash, ACH, wire, credit card and check payments
Verify checks, process credit card requests, apply offsets, deposit checks and file checks and remittances
Assist the Finance team with any questions for transfers, refunds and GL requests
Process intercompany checks (weekly)
Lockbox receipt processing
Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary
