About The Position

Join our dynamic team as a Cash Application/Accounts Receivable Specialist, where you will play a key role in deduction analysis and clearing within our Accounts Receivable Department. You will be instrumental in managing accounts receivable processes, specifically working with grocery retail businesses, and utilizing integrated ERP systems like SAP, JDE, Net Suites, or Sage. You should thrive in both independent work and team collaboration, understanding the impact of your work on the organization.

Requirements

  • Experience in accounts receivable, deductions, chargebacks, and cash applications.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Solid understanding of ERP systems, such as SAP and JDE.
  • Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.
  • Experience in customer service and data entry.
  • High School Diploma required
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Ability to manage and maintain inter-departmental processes and procedures effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert on job duties, JDE, and understand customer behaviors and cadence.
  • Analyze, categorize, code, and clear deductions for assigned customers in a timely manner.
  • Research, document, and ensure proper deals are entered into the trade funds management program (Blue Planner) and ERP systems.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and maintain accurate documentation for processing.
  • Identify root causes of invalid deductions and develop methods to prevent future issues.
  • Provide inter/intra-departmental support and maintain productive working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable special projects and cash applications when necessary.
  • Provide reports and information to stakeholders upon request.
  • Manage and process brokerage payments as needed.
