About The Position

The Cash Accountant is responsible for reconciling bank deposits and credit card payments daily to the General Ledger for approximately 50+ store locations, fostering relationships across the organization, and demonstrating strong analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset. They are required to multi-task, work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and collaborate with peers. A strong desire to learn and develop new skills, strong organization and analytical skills, as well as attention to detail, are essential.

Requirements

2-4 years bookkeeping experience or Accounting associate’s degree preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Experience with the financial reconciliation process
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Excel
Teamwork: Demonstrates the ability to work cooperatively with others
Flexibility: Adapts to change and is receptive to feedback

Responsibilities

Reconcile bank deposits and credit card payments daily to the general ledger for approximately 50 store locations
Research and solve discrepancies including data input errors or system errors
Build ongoing relationships with employees at locations you reconcile and contact them as questions arise (provide our stores excellent customer service)
Reconcile monthly bank statements
Ensure all documentation related to cash reconciliation is accurate and complete
New store set up support
Assist with projects or other duties as needed
Foster open, two-way communication with all stakeholders, including store teams, corporate leadership, and customers.
Present ideas effectively in one-on-one, group, and company-wide settings.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Proactively optimize workflows for enhanced performance.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement to achieve and maintain operational excellence.
