About The Position

Under the direction of the residential coordinator, this role is part of a Housing First program, providing support to a diverse group of individuals with barriers who have experienced chronic homelessness. As the caseworker, you will be responsible for leading the program design and implementation, working closely with clients to set and achieve goals, and providing unit care and other necessary supports for their success. The role requires flexibility to accommodate fluctuating program needs, including being on-call rotation and working flexible hours that may include evenings and weekends.

Requirements

Three (1) to five (3) years of experience in a role in the homelessness and supportive housing sector
Knowledge of the Housing First approach to homelessness
Knowledge of the Ontario Land-Lord Tenant Act
Knowledge of SPDAT Assessment
Knowledge of HIFIS
Caseworker experience
Ability to coordinate all on-site program related functions through a gender- and trauma-responsive framework
A strong commitment to supporting all residents, who may be navigating the legal system
Excellent people skills to facilitate relationships with clients, colleagues, supervisors, program partners and community members
A willingness to work in collaboration with a wide variety of community partners, agencies and emergency services
