The Case Services Specialist performs a variety of job duties for the Division of Children, Youth and Families (CYF). The job responsibilities may include preparations for adoptions, completion of initial and annual eligibility determinations for all client entitlements, gather and decipher information from documents, systems, court orders, contacts, etc. to make an eligibility determination; determine funding based on placement relation and certification; maintain and adhere to strict deadlines and documentation for cases that are often audited and reviewed, manage Medicaid spans for CYFAP clients and troubleshoot Medicaid issues as needed; fingerprinting, facilitating agency and client travel needs; report distribution; performs in-depth research to ensure authenticity of information for background checks, birth certification requests, and other requests as needed; Interacts with all levels of state and county staff, medical and legal professionals, child advocate specialists, clients, and citizens. Provides training, technical assistance and backup coverage for the unit. Please note this is not a caseworker position.
