About The Position

Use of power equipment to safely handle product while performing the receiving and/or shipping processes. This role requires flexibility, reliability, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and take initiative. Employees are expected to maintain high standards of work quality, follow directions, communicate professionally, and adhere to appearance guidelines. The position involves operating material handling equipment, using RF scan devices, and performing physical tasks such as lifting, standing, walking, twisting, stooping, squatting, and reaching in a non-climate-controlled environment. Key responsibilities include meeting productivity standards, adhering to safety procedures, ensuring accurate product handling and quality control for inbound and outbound shipments, and maintaining inventory accuracy. Employees are encouraged to participate in meetings, maintain general housekeeping, and gain knowledge of multiple accounts or job functions.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a material handling equipment license.
  • Ability to use handheld RF Scan Device.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to twist, stoop, squat and reach above shoulder level.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
  • Reliability: Always present and punctual; arrives prepared for work. Completes work in a timely, accurate and consistent manner.
  • Follows directions: Follows all written and verbal instructions provided by management, project leader, etc…
  • Communication: Shares all information in a professional and factual manner ensuring the best decisions are made for the company. Report all issues to your manager/supervisor.
  • Appearance: Maintains an appropriate appearance and dresses in accordance with the established dress code guidelines to your respective position.

Responsibilities

  • Safely handle product using power equipment during receiving and shipping processes.
  • Operate material handling equipment and obtain/maintain a material handling equipment license.
  • Use handheld RF Scan Devices.
  • Meet established productivity standards specific to the account.
  • Understand and follow stocking, picking, and loading strategies.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and specific customer work instructions.
  • Complete the Handling Hours tracking document daily.
  • Follow established Dock Safety, Fork Lift & Product Handling processes.
  • Follow Motorized Equipment Daily Inspection Procedures prior to equipment operation.
  • Report all incidents, accidents, and potential safety hazards to management immediately.
  • Perform daily stretches as outlined prior to commencing work.
  • Follow established safety and security policies.
  • Understand and follow handling requirements for products.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are error and damage-free.
  • Complete inspection checklists as required.
  • Scan product properly and match it to item codes, pick lists, stocking lists, and physical product.
  • Complete all inbound and outbound paperwork accurately and completely.
  • Report all product damage to management and/or warehouse coordinator.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and report all inventory discrepancies.
  • Participate in daily pre-shift meetings.
  • Participate in general area housekeeping.
  • Gain knowledge of multiple accounts and/or job functions within the operation.

Benefits

  • Up to $19.00 + $1.50 shift diff per hour when applicable
