About The Position

Under limited supervision, performs duties following established procedures in the following areas: Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons. Assembles pre-packs, displays, and other objects, completing work orders. May operate lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. Stores shipments in bins, on floor, or on shelves according to identifying information. May mark identifying codes using labeling equipment. May move or transport material or supplies to other departments, using hand or industrial truck. May also keep records on number of items or cartons received. Support of and involvement in company, departments, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs, and activities. Maintenance of a clean and orderly work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
