About The Position

Opal Foods is hiring a Case Packer at its egg production location in Roggen, Colorado. The position involves placing egg cartons and flats into cases or onto pallets while complying with company policies and governmental regulations. The Case Packer also assists the Processing Plant Lead with other projects and duties as needed. The role prepares the work area and packaging, packages eggs, verifies that packaging is correctly matched and labeled, and maintains a clean work area throughout the day. The employee must be able to work at a fast pace, perform repetitive tasks while standing in one place for extended periods, and remain at work until production is complete for the day. Opal Foods was formed in 2014 as a partnership between Rose Acre Farms and Weaver Brothers. The company provides eggs through farms in Missouri, Minnesota, Colorado, and Iowa, with its headquarters in Neosho, Missouri.

Requirements

Be able to read and match labels.
Demonstrate attention to detail.
Be able to work at a fast pace and stand in one place while completing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Be available to be scheduled any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
Be clocked in and ready to work every day as scheduled.
Be able to stay until the end of the shift; the shift ends when all production for the day is complete.

Responsibilities

Set up the work area and prepare packaging for the day.
Package one-dozen and 18-pack cartons and flats of eggs into crates or boxes, or onto pallets.
Verify that packaging is properly matched and labeled.
Clean the work area throughout the day and keep the floor free of eggs and debris.
Help other team members as needed throughout the day.
Put away packaging from the work area and clean up at the end of the day.
Assist the Processing Plant Lead with other projects and duties as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
