Nite Lines USA is seeking a Case Manager for a 90-day assignment with DFCS in Henry County, working within their Foster Care unit or CPS investigations unit. This role involves providing investigative and comprehensive case management for clients involved in child/adult abuse or neglect cases. The position requires immediate and follow-up actions for at-risk clients needing protective services or placement, including timely face-to-face responses to alleged child maltreatment reports and conducting assessments to identify and address safety concerns. The Case Manager will develop and implement safety plans, conduct diligent searches for clients, implement Solution Based Casework (SBC), and partner with families to develop agreements and plans to achieve desired outcomes. Responsibilities also include completing genograms, collaborating with community partners, ensuring adequate client visits, identifying and addressing client needs (physical, educational, mental/behavioral health), establishing permanency goals, ensuring stable placements, and working towards timely permanency in accordance with the Adoptions and Safe Families Act. The role also involves maintaining child's connections to their community, promoting positive relationships between children and biological parents, documenting case management activities, celebrating positive outcomes, and utilizing a privately owned vehicle for work-related travel and duties. The position includes routine after-hours on-call duty and embracing ongoing learning and professional development. While typically office-based, some documentation can be done at home if reported promptly, but the expectation is more office work than teleworking. The workload will involve working with children and families in DeKalb County and surrounding metro Atlanta areas.
