Case Manager Supervisor - Therapeutic Foster Care - Memphis, TN
About The Position
Meritan, Inc., a Tennessee-based health, human, and social services nonprofit, is seeking a compassionate candidate to join its Specialized Foster Care team as a Case Manager Supervisor. This full-time position will oversee case managers supporting children in the state foster care system by being the child's advocate, assessing health and social needs on an initial and continuing basis, and making linkages to a variety of agencies. The agency recruits and trains families for therapeutic support statewide as well as facilitates adoptions and home studies as appropriate. Meritan provides homes of refuge and healing to special needs foster children and in-home services to the elderly and disabled so that they may remain living independently in their own homes.
Requirements
- A Master's degree from an accredited college or university
- At least two (2) years prior experience working in a related field
- Must meet State specific requirements for supervision
- At least one (1) year prior experience in an administrative or supervisory role
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop a results-driven team
- Oversee case managers supporting children in the state foster care system
- Act as the child's advocate
- Assess health and social needs on an initial and continuing basis
- Make linkages to a variety of agencies
- Recruit and train families for therapeutic support statewide
- Facilitate adoptions and home studies as appropriate
