Case Manager RN
About The Position
The Case Manager Registered Nurse is primarily responsible for the preparation, recording and tracking of initial and retrospective payments for hospital services. This role involves answering, directing, and recording departmental phone calls from various sources such as insurance companies, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Home Health Agencies, Durable Medical Equipment providers, and other health care providers, while understanding priorities for quality patient care. The Case Manager RN also coordinates with Discharge Planners to ensure continuum of patient care, including durable medical equipment (DME) and Levels of Care.
Requirements
- Current CA RN license.
- Must be able to type a minimum of 45-55 wpm.
- Fluent in medical terminology.
- Must have strong communication and written grammatical skills.
- Current Basic Life Support (Healthcare Provider) certification.
Responsibilities
