The Association for Individual Development (AID) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower people with physical, developmental, intellectual, mental health challenges; those who have suffered a trauma; and those at risk, to enjoy lives of dignity and purpose. We are looking for a Case Manager Mental Health Professional (MHP) Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) Community Support Team who demonstrates this mission and wants to work for an organization that makes a difference in the community. The CST Recovery Support Specialist is an experienced consumer of mental health services who is familiar with and supports the concepts of empowerment and recovery. The Recovery Support Specialist will serve as a role model and as such needs to maintain his/her recovery plan. The Recovery Support Specialist is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of peer support services, including consumer-run programming that focuses on self-help, peer support, symptom education, advocacy, and consumer-run activities.
