The Refugee Foster Care (RFC) program at Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County (CCSCC) provides culturally and linguistically responsive child welfare, foster care, and independent living services to unaccompanied youth in the U.S. who are refugees, Cuban/Haitian entrants, asylees, victims of human trafficking, U-visa holders, and youth who have Special Immigrant Juvenile Status. These youth may have complex needs including PTSD, substance abuse issues, and mental health or medical challenges. The RFC program offers comprehensive support including foster care placement, housing, education, health services, immigration assistance, mental health support, independent living services, and family reunification efforts when feasible. The program utilizes strength-based, trauma-informed, and culturally relevant models to empower youth. The Case Manager II role supports the social work team in delivering these services to unaccompanied refugee minors and non-minor dependents, operating with significant independent accountability within professional, ethical, and organizational guidelines. This position is integral to a multi-disciplinary team, demanding high levels of adaptability, flexibility, and collaboration to meet individual client needs.
