About The Position

Catholic Community Services of Southern Arizona, Inc. (CCS) is seeking a Case Manager II to serve as a Foster Care and Adoption Licensing Specialist. This role is crucial for recruiting, training, licensing, and supporting foster and adoptive families for children in need. The position involves working with families in Pima, Pinal, Santa Cruz, and Cochise counties, requiring knowledge of the child welfare system and Arizona regulations. The role can be stressful and demanding, requiring travel and potentially involving an on-call rotation. The primary goal is to ensure the well-being of children by supporting and retaining qualified foster and adoptive families.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in a human service-related field and two (2) years of related work experience.
  • Proven skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to ensure accurate and timely entry of data into various systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proven strong communication skills - oral and written are clear, concise, and in an organized fashion using appropriate style, grammar, and tone.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver license, proof of insurance, and 39-month motor vehicle report.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and FBI National Criminal Records History Report.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts agency orientation and screening interviews with potential resource (foster) families.
  • Provides general information and initial foster care application packets.
  • Participates in initial trainings (Foster Parent College) for licensing and identifies community resources for advanced training.
  • Maintains contact with families during the application and pre-service training process, offering support and guidance.
  • Completes initial, renewal, and amendment licensing assessment home studies.
  • Enters home studies into Quick Connect and submits required Foster Home Licensing documents to the Office of Licensing and Regulations (OLR).
  • Recommends approval or denial of foster home licensure based on home study assessments.
  • Maintains contact with licensed foster families through home visits as per program, state, and contractual requirements.
  • Conducts investigations of licensing concerns and submits reports to OLR.
  • Coordinates foster home placements and exits between the DCS Case Manager and foster home.
  • May participate in the On-Call rotation, including evenings and weekends.
  • Maintains case records in accordance with program requirements.
  • Provides periodic, on-call crisis support and services to foster, kinship, and adoptive families.
  • Participates as a member of the DCS service team, including case plan staffing, Child and Family Teams, and Team Decision Making.
  • Participates in group support services for foster parent retention and recruitment by organizing and facilitating social events and activities.
  • Assists with facilitating parent support meetings and training.
  • Collects and submits data and reports to meet agency and contract requirements.
  • May drive an agency or personal vehicle on company business.
