Responsible for ensuring implementation of policy and procedure, community corrections standards, and other contractual requirements related to Case Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Criminal Justice, Social or Behavior Sciences or related field from accredited four-year college or university required.
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training in supervision of an offender population.
  • At least one year team lead or supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated thorough knowledge of Colorado criminal justice system, community corrections, case management techniques and requirements, and relevant evidence-based practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze issues and solve problems effectively.
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate staff through application of Company values.
  • Ability to enter data, generate reports and create communications from variety of software programs and databases.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to variety of constituents
  • Ability to complete assessments and develop case plans.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Demonstrated skill in applying Motivational Interviewing techniques and practices
  • Knowledge of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
  • Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Company, staff, stakeholders, and with diverse client base.

Responsibilities

  • Support, promote and adhere to the mission, values, and Code of Conduct of Intervention Inc. at all times and in all interactions.
  • Carry out all duties/responsibilities in accordance with Company values, policies and procedures, applicable laws and contractual obligations.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company’s values and policies, and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; providing feedback and development, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Assist in compiling timely and accurate statistical information on program operations and services, assists in preparation of compliance audits.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Act as a change agent in the implementation of new practices, including training and coaching of staff and modeling desired behavior.
  • Assist the Program Manager in assuring that programs are functioning in a manner that satisfies contractual obligations and organizational goals.
  • Ensures PREA compliance, assists in assessments and investigations as requested
  • Maintain training on requirements of the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) and PREA Investigator training.
  • Audits case files to ensure compliance with established policy and procedure, ensure issues are corrected.
  • Represent the program through court hearings as a witness, when subpoenaed or as directed by Program Manager.
  • Develop and implement contingency management programs and practices to reward positive client behavior, and to hold clients accountable for negative behaviors and to assist them in changing negative behavior.
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures
  • Actively participate on facility implementation team for evidence-based practices.
  • Participate in the staffing and disciplinary process for clients.
  • Assign new clients to case managers within 24 hours of client entering the program.
  • Facilitate arrests and terminations from the program.
  • Review and approve documents to include but not be limited to client contracts, treatment referrals, funding vouchers, referral agency paperwork.
  • Monitor and collect urinalysis tests from clients as required.
  • May be required to work nights and/or weekends.
  • Is available for on-call duties and/or caseload coverage for Case Managers as required.
  • Follow all safety rules and procedures established per work areas.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from assigned work site.
  • Travel: Frequently drives personal car throughout local area/state to go to other work sites, attend meetings, trainings, court appearances, etc. including in adverse weather. Drive Company vehicle to conduct resident transports as necessary.
  • Attend required trainings and apply skills and knowledge.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Act as Program Manager in the Program Manager’s absence.
  • Good steward of Company, human, financial and capital resources.
  • Participate effectively as a team member through communication, cooperation, information sharing and problem solving.
  • Any other tasks or duties as assigned.
