About The Position

The Cart Attendant is responsible for overseeing driving range operations, including picking and cleaning range balls, maintaining equipment, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves staging golf carts, cleaning and preparing them for the next day's play, and ensuring the cart barn and its contents are kept in good order. The attendant will also assist guests with their golf bags and communicate with the golf shop and starter via radio.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to stand throughout duration of shift.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working at a golf club preferred.
  • Knowledge of golf protocol preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Stage golf carts in rows and columns leaving ample room to move between carts.
  • Oversee driving range operations to include picking and cleaning range balls.
  • During slow periods, pick balls around the range perimeters and check for plugged balls.
  • Replace rubber tees on matted areas.
  • Maintain and clean ball washer and club cleaner daily.
  • Offer to unload and load guests golf bags from the bag drop area.
  • Provide the best customer service possible and inline with our SCORE standards.
  • Always address guests as “sir” or “ma’am” or “Mr or Mrs”.
  • Carry a radio to assist in communication between the golf shop and starter.
  • Clean and check rental golf clubs, report any deficiencies to Golf Shop immediately.
  • Remove trash from golf carts after play, hose down, towel dry, and sanitize if needed.
  • Fill sand buckets and prep cart for next day’s play to include scorecard and pencil.
  • Gas or charge golf carts nightly, park carts, not touching, in neat and orderly rows.
  • Cart barn should be swept out or blown out on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Garbage should be emptied every night.
  • Carts in need of repair should be tagged and a notation made on the mechanic’s board.
  • Hang up wet towels and launder soiled ones.
  • Actively demonstrate, encourage, and model safety rules and guidance with the law.
  • Report safety or hazard concerns to management.
  • Report any work-related injury to management.
  • Take personal responsibility for work every day.
