Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and market conditions.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
Previous experience in logistics, transportation, carrier sales, freight brokerage, dispatch, customer service, or another relationship-driven sales role.
Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
Understanding of freight markets, carrier operations, or supply chain logistics.

Responsibilities

Build Strategic Carrier Partnerships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with trucking carriers, dispatchers, and fleet managers. Expand RJ Logistics' carrier network by identifying and onboarding qualified transportation partners. Maintain consistent communication to secure available truck capacity and strengthen long-term partnerships. Serve as a trusted point of contact between carriers, drivers, customers, and internal teams.
Source Capacity & Negotiate Solutions: Source carrier capacity for customer freight across multiple transportation modes. Negotiate competitive rates while balancing profitability, service, and carrier relationships. Match available equipment with customer freight to maximize operational efficiency. Manage spot freight and support dedicated transportation opportunities.
Deliver Outstanding Customer Service: Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery to ensure exceptional service. Proactively identify transportation challenges and develop timely solutions. Communicate shipment updates, expectations, and service requirements clearly with all stakeholders. Escalate issues appropriately while maintaining a positive customer experience.
Leverage Technology & Data: Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and related technology to manage freight activity. Accurately document load information, accessorial charges, communications, and shipment updates. Follow company procedures to maintain compliance and operational accuracy.
Collaborate & Grow: Partner with Operations, Customer Sales, and Leadership to meet customer expectations. Support seamless shift transitions through proactive communication. Stay informed on freight market trends, carrier capacity, and transportation pricing. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support additional team responsibilities as needed.
