About The Position

As a Carrier Sales Representative, you are a key contributor to Uber Freight's business by generating and maintaining carrier relationships. You will be eligible to earn a monthly bonus, in addition to your base salary, in your first full calendar month and enjoy working in a fast-paced, sales environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2+ years of professional experience in a sales/cold call setting or related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Track and trace experience
  • Experienced booking carriers for Hazmat, Tanker Endorsed, and flatbed freight
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Establish relationships, negotiate, and develop carriers regularly via phone and email in order to develop specialized and dedicated carriers
  • Engage and build relationships with carriers across dry van, reefer, hazmat, tanker endorsed, and flatbed freight specific to Uber Freight specialized services.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and high service levels where freight is picked up and delivered on time using safe, reliable carriers
  • Meet or exceed team financial and individual performance goals
  • Develop knowledge of carrier supply and demand, spot market pricing, and factors that impact freight markets
  • Carrier profile management- learn carrier requirements, needs, contacts and update carrier profiles regularly. Be an advocate for the carrier on all levels
  • Acquire knowledge of freight network/lanes- know what internal freight lanes we run and find carriers that match these lanes
