About The Position

SageSure is hiring an intern to join its Rising Pioneer Program and Carrier Operations team for a 10-week, hands-on experience. After three days of orientation and training, the intern will work on Carrier Operations projects, gain exposure to business operations, and have visibility to the CEO. The program includes learning and networking with employees, leaders, and other interns, coaching and feedback from SageSure professionals, and the potential to earn college credit. Interns may be considered for post-graduation roles within the company. The intern will conduct product-level portfolio analysis to identify profitability trends and performance drivers, assess carrier profitability, and develop insights to support portfolio management and business planning. The role also involves preparing materials for carrier partners, building and maintaining profitability models and analytical tools, completing an individual Capstone project and additional team-prioritized projects, supporting CEO-focused ad hoc research and analysis, and recommending solutions to industry issues and relevant news.

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and eagerness to learn.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as a team member, and to take ownership of challenging tasks.
Strategic mindset, strong analytical thinking, and sound business judgment.
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, insurance, risk management, operations, analytics, or a related field, with an anticipated graduation date in 2028.
Authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Prior internship experience or coursework related to insurance, underwriting, operations, analytics, or process improvement.
GPA of 3.0 or higher.
AI experience or coursework, such as applied AI, machine learning, natural language processing, or workplace analytics tools.

Responsibilities

Conduct product-level portfolio analysis to identify profitability trends and performance drivers, including actual performance relative to expectations, and translate findings into actionable insights.
Partner with Carrier Operations leadership and Portfolio Managers to evaluate carrier profitability and support portfolio management decisions and business planning.
Develop presentation materials communicating portfolio performance and profitability insights to carrier partners for operating reviews and strategic discussions.
Build and maintain profitability models and analytical tools, helping modernize profitability and portfolio reporting.
Complete an individual Capstone project with deliverables and a presentation to the CEO.
Complete an additional two to three projects prioritized by the Carrier Operations team, with weekly or bi-weekly updates to the Office of the CEO team.
Provide research and analysis support on ad hoc projects, especially corporate projects important to the CEO.
Recommend solutions to industry issues and share relevant insights on industry news.
Learn and network with employees, leaders, and other interns, and receive coaching, mentoring, and feedback from SageSure professionals.
