About The Position

This role supports the implementation and sustainability of operational excellence initiatives across the organization. This role coordinates and assists with 5S, CI, Kaizen, and Cx events; helps develop and apply visual workplace standards such as floor labels and signage; and supports onboarding and training activities to reinforce standard work. The role also contributes to auditing, tracking, coaching, and follow-up to ensure improvements are effectively implemented, maintained, and embedded into daily operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 1+ year of experience in a high volume, high complexity, manufacturing environment
  • The ability to stand for extended periods of time along with routine lifting of items that typically weigh up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to bend, stoop, stand, and squat

  • Working knowledge of 5S standards and visual workplace practices, including floor labeling, signage, and workplace organization.
  • Physically capable of working in a fast-paced, stop-and-go manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and drive 5S and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives by planning activities, facilitating events, supporting teams, and ensuring standard methods are followed across the organization.
  • Sustain and measure improvements by auditing 5S, tracking CI metrics, coaching employees, and promoting a culture of waste reduction, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Support visual workplace standards by helping design, create, and implement floor labels, markings, and signage to clearly define work areas, material flow, safety zones, and 5S standards.
  • Support onboarding and training activities by assisting with onboarding and training of new hires, coaching new employees, and conducting annual recertification trainings.
  • Help lead and support Kaizen and Cx (Continuous Improvement) events by assisting with planning, facilitation, follow‑up actions, and documentation to ensure improvements are implemented and sustained.
