About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to provide carpet and upholstery cleaning on location for residential and commercial customers and support other divisions such as water as needed. This role involves addressing customer concerns, mastering equipment and chemicals, maintaining inventory, and potentially performing emergency service work. The technician must also be able to collect payments, upsell services, and participate in an on-call schedule.

Requirements

Must have valid Illinois Driver’s license.
Clean driving record with no more than 2 tickets per year and No DUI’s
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to twist, stand, climb, push, pull and tolerate heights.
Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to stand for extended lengths of time and tolerate sometimes extreme temperature differences.
Must be able to pass a DOT physical and where a respirator with no restrictions.
Must be able to tolerate cleaning chemicals.
Able to wear a respirator if needed
Work with cleaning solutions and chemicals
Able to climb a ladder
Look presentable, clean shaved, no tattoos showing, no facial piercings, no colored hair.
Good customer service.

Responsibilities

Cleans residential and commercial carpets, upholstery, area rugs and tile/grout.
Addresses customer concerns (i.e. job re-do’s).
Masters purpose and use of all equipment, tools and chemicals.
Records the condition of all equipment and materials daily.
Updates inventory on truck daily.
Replenishes truck needs from warehouse.
Take weekly inventory at warehouse.
Clean interior and exterior of vehicle on an as needed basis (maintain a clean vehicle as much as possible).
Assist in new technician training.
Collects payment from customers.
Generate report of Daily Sales numbers.
Up sells protection products, upholstery cleaning and air duct cleaning.
Performs emergency service work (Water Restoration Division) as needed.
Required to be apart of the On-Call Schedule at least once a month.
