About The Position

Floor Coverings International Boulder is seeking a skilled carpet installation subcontractor to join our network. This is a subcontractor opportunity, not a W-2 employee position. We serve Boulder County and surrounding communities and are looking for installers who take pride in their work, communicate professionally, and represent our brand well in customers' homes. We offer fair market rates by the square yard and strive to treat our subcontractor partners with respect and professionalism.

Requirements

Experience in residential carpet installation.
Experience with pattern carpet installation.
Experience with wool carpet installation.
Experience with stair work (wrapped stairs, Hollywood stairs, custom applications).
Experience with high-end residential projects.
Well-maintained work vehicle, ideally without competing company logos.
Clean, professional appearance on job sites.
Respectful communication with customers, team members, and other trades.
At least one English-speaking installer on every job.
Strong job-site cleanliness standards.
Ability to follow scope of work details and communicate questions before problems arise.
Willingness to represent the brand with care, professionalism, and accountability.
Proof of commercial general liability insurance.
Proof of workers’ compensation insurance.
Ability to pass a background check.
References or examples of prior carpet installation work.
Confirmation that all crew members are legally authorized to work.

Nice To Haves

Wool carpet experience is especially important, as we regularly work with higher-end carpet products and are looking to expand capacity with installers comfortable handling wool properly.

Responsibilities

Handle a wide range of residential carpet installations, including basic residential carpet (polyester products), pattern carpet, and wool carpet.
Perform stair work, including wrapped stairs, Hollywood stairs, and custom applications.
Complete high-end residential projects requiring attention to detail, cleanliness, and professionalism.
Properly handle wool carpet installations.
Represent Floor Coverings International while on site, maintaining a clean, professional appearance.
Communicate respectfully with customers, team members, and other trades.
Maintain strong job-site cleanliness standards.
Follow scope of work details and communicate questions proactively.
