Core responsibilities include cutting, shaping, and smoothing lumber, as well as constructing structural elements such as window frames, doors, staircases, and building frames from raw materials or pre-constructed components. The role also involves the installation of interior items like siding, cabinets, doors, framers, and hardware, alongside exterior finishes including WRB siding, envelope systems, trim, and millwork. A crucial aspect of the position is the ability to build and set forms for cast-in-place concrete, encompassing both horizontal and vertical formwork, and performing precise layout tasks, including angular movement. Finally, the carpenter will be expected to inspect finished products and carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.
