About The Position
Iona University seeks a general carpenter responsible for maintaining all campus buildings' interior and exterior structures and components, including interior and exterior minor construction projects, and small cabinet making and furniture construction and repairs. The scheduled hours for this position are 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.
Requirements
- Ceiling, wall and floor tile installation.
- Proficient painter.
- Masonry experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in all areas of the trades department as needed, including flooring, ceilings, walls, light carpentry, and light electrical.
- Maintain windows on campus.
- Keep all flags on campus in good repair.
- Assist with painting when required.
- Respond to requests from the Supervisor to assist in other departments as needed.
- Respond to requests for snow removal.
- Perform any other duties as requested.
