About The Position

Experienced maintenance professional specializing in finish carpentry, commercial door hardware repair, pneumatic tube system support, or similar complex mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical equipment within a healthcare environment. Must be able to diagnose equipment failures, perform preventative maintenance and minimize downtime to support safe and efficient operations.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.
Technical Certificate from an accredited program; three to six months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates the ability to perform finish carpentry work including but not limited to removing or installing cabinets, counter tops, trim and door components.
Must be able to install drywall, plaster, metal studs (building materials) and perform caulking.
Diagnoses, maintains and repairs hospital infrastructure and equipment such as tube transport systems.
Performs commercial door lock repairs including crash bars, automatic operators and door closers.
Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot, service and assemble furniture and cubicles including sit-to-stand desks.
Must have the ability to install and repair suspended ceiling panels and grid systems.
