About The Position

OCL Group Inc. (OCL) is a 100% Canadian, privately held, employee-owned general contractor with design-build solutions across Western Canada, serving the energy and municipal infrastructure markets since 2009. OCL was formed by industry professionals focused on a business model centered around "People and Doing the Job Right". We are currently recruiting for Apprentice & Journeymen Carpenters with formwork, concrete, and finishing experience. This position will start in early March, and preference will be given to candidates residing in or near Gordondale, BC. The shift will be 12 hours/day, with the specific schedule to be determined.

Requirements

• Certified Journeyman Carpenter
• Registered apprentice carpenter
• Experience in system formwork (doka & peri)
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor
• Knowledge of hand tools and mechanical equipment used in Carpentry
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Must have WHMIS 2015, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, AWP and GD2
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and processes
• Must be able to to work outside in varying weather conditions
• Must be able to to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
• Must be clean shaven

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in concrete finishing is preferred

Responsibilities

• Ability to Read and interpret blueprints
• Use power tools/ hand tools to complete site specific form work.
• Assist with the installation of concrete structures
• Follow all OCL safety regulations
