About The Position

Czarnowski is seeking Scenic Carpenters to join Colorado’s largest themed scenic custom manufacturing company. In this role, you will be responsible for the carpentry aspects of exhibit fabrication, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality, safety, and professional communication. You will work indoors, sometimes in tight spaces, and must be adaptable to changing conditions. The role requires the use of various hand tools, and maintaining a clean, safe worksite and personal tools is essential. A successful applicant should be hardworking, reliable, and possess good communication and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in fabrication using wood, plastic and metal, or related work; being a talented hobbyist counts
  • Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment, bending, standing, climbing or walking
  • Must have own basic carpentry tools
  • Well versed in various finished work such a laminate, melamine and moldings
  • Ability to read and understand CAD drawings, blueprints, and diagrams and adhere to quality building standards and specifications
  • Basic knowledge of math and measurements
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and complete jobs with demanding deadlines while keeping great attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment; works well with Project Managers, Detailers and Senior Management
  • Must be able to work 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday during peek seasons (Oct - May); non-peek work schedule will typically be a 40 hour week
  • Available to work overtime and on weekends

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate exhibit and tradeshow booths under the direction of the Shop Manager
  • Work with the Shop Manager on assigned fabrication projects to support the exhibit assets
  • Assist with exhibit development and lead the carpentry aspect of the fabrication process
  • Construct carts and/or crates that ensure the safe transportation of exhibitions
  • Adaptability and ability to change priorities as they dynamically shift
  • Handle heights as necessary; ladder work is common
  • Carry heavy equipment manually or using necessary equipment as applicable
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
