About The Position
The Facilities Division is hiring a Carpenter position that performs a variety of carpentry duties in the construction, alteration, and repair of structures and related equipment.
Requirements
- One year of carpentry experience.
- Vocational or technical school training in carpentry or a related field will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
Responsibilities
- Performs construction and repair of buildings, furniture, doors, windows, walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, and cabinetry, etc.
- Installs and repairs locks and related hardware.
- Perform finish carpentry work such as sanding, painting, varnishing, etc.
- Builds and repairs to auxiliary equipment such as fencing, signs, ramps, gates, guttering, etc.
- Operates and services, saws, planes, drills, jointer and hand tools.
- Install and repairs linoleum floor tiles, and carpet.
- Provides assistance in other skilled trade areas.
