About The Position

The Carpenter Concrete Services position is integral to the successful completion of construction projects involving concrete formwork and structural carpentry. The primary goal of this role is to build, install, and repair concrete forms and frameworks that support concrete structures, ensuring precision and durability. This position requires collaboration with project managers, concrete finishers, and other construction professionals to meet project specifications and deadlines. The Carpenter will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to create accurate and safe formwork. Ultimately, this role contributes to the structural integrity and aesthetic quality of concrete construction projects across various sites in the United States.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a carpenter, specifically with concrete formwork.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions.
  • Familiarity with construction safety standards and practices.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
  • The required skills enable the Carpenter to accurately interpret construction plans and execute precise formwork, which is critical for the structural success of concrete projects.
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity are essential for handling materials and tools safely and efficiently throughout the workday.
  • Communication skills facilitate effective collaboration with team members and supervisors, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to project timelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship or vocational training in carpentry or concrete services.
  • OSHA certification or other relevant safety training certifications.
  • Experience with power tools and specialized carpentry equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of concrete mixing and finishing techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Construct, install, and dismantle concrete forms and frameworks according to project blueprints and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble wood, metal, and other materials to create formwork that supports concrete pours.
  • Collaborate with concrete finishers and laborers to ensure timely and accurate concrete placement.
  • Inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure safety and functionality on the job site.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in site preparation, including layout and marking of form locations.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to report progress and any issues encountered.
