About The Position

EMI Services is hiring a Carpenter to perform carpentry duties necessary to maintain in good repair building woodwork and equipment such as bins, cribs, counters, benches, partitions, doors, floors, stairs, casings, and trim made of wood. Work involves planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments; making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work; and selecting materials necessary for the work. In general, the work of the maintenance carpenter requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
4+ years of experience in the Carpentry trade
Valid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID Act or are you willing and able to obtain one
Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
U. S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations
Must lift 75 lbs. unassisted
Must work in extreme weather conditions - summer peaks at 120° Fahrenheit
Must wear appropriate Person Protective Equipment (PPO)
Be able speak, write, read, and understand English
Willing to cross-train in other areas
Punctual, responsible, and dependable
Demonstrate motivation, initiative, and reliability
Adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions
Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and company policy
Able to deliver quality products to the customer and be responsive to their needs
