About The Position

This position is part of our exciting commercial remodel team. The role involves constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard, ensuring compliance with local building codes at ABC Fine Wine and Spirit stores throughout Florida. This is a traveling position, requiring 75-80% travel with full company expense reimbursement.

Requirements

Basic understanding of blueprints.
Constructs with specified building materials.
Good working knowledge of both commercial and residential construction.
Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 40 pounds or more.
Specific vision abilities required: close vision (at 20 inches or less), distance vision (at 20 feet or more), color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, conforming to local building codes.
Prepares layout and marks cutting and assembly lines on materials.
Shapes materials to prescribed measurements.
Erects framework for structures consisting of light gauge metal or lumber.
Lays out and installs partitions and cabinet work.
Fits and installs prefabricated doors, door frames, weather stripping, interior and exterior trim, and finished hardware, such as locks and kick plates.
Hangs and finishes sheet rock.
Maintains ABC Fine Wine & Spirits standard of quality and rate of production.
Complies with all ABCFWS and OSHA safety guidelines.
Maintains the proper tools of the trade in good working order.
Wears proper work attire including but not limited to work boots, hard hat, and safety glasses.
Performs other essential duties as assigned.
