About The Position
The Carpenter position is part of the Engineering department and requires a Journeyman skill level. The role involves varied working hours, typically from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, but subject to change based on work assignments and hotel needs. The position demands the ability to follow instructions, make independent decisions, and work independently. Overtime is required, and the requirements are subject to change.
Requirements
- Journeyman skill level to consist of accepted 4 year apprentice program with classroom time and 8000 worked hours or experience and technical skills equal to the apprenticeship from working in the trade for a number of years
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Valid West Virginia Driver’s License
- Lifting up to 70 pounds regularly
- Walking
- Standing
- Climbing ladders, scaffolding, stairs continuously
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to follow specific general instructions
- Independent decision making skills required
- Ability to work independently
