About The Position

Kinetic Construction Ltd. (Kinetic) is seeking an experienced Carpenter for their Duncan site. This role involves assisting with survey points for excavation, setting elevations, building and erecting concrete forms, performing concrete pours (walls, S.O.G., suspended slabs), and constructing buildings or structures using wood, light gauge metal, and mass lumber systems. Post-construction tasks include installing envelope systems, interior finishes, accessories, doors, windows, and millwork.

Requirements

Red Seal Carpenter or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of Practices, Procedures, Techniques in the Construction Trades.
Familiarity with tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and safety.

Responsibilities

Setting up survey points for excavation and using equipment to set elevations.
Building or assembling and erecting forms for concrete.
Conducting concrete pours for walls, S.O.G., or suspended slabs.
Building the building or structure from wood, light gauge metal, and mass lumber systems.
Installing envelope systems or materials.
Installing interior finishes and accessories, doors, windows, and millwork.
Adhering to Safe Work Practices.
Demonstrating Documentation and Organizational Skills.
Utilizing Tools and Equipment.
Operating Survey Instruments and Equipment.
Using Access, Rigging and Hoisting Equipment.
Performing Site Layout.
Working with Concrete Formwork.
Engaging in Wood Frame Construction.
Installing Finishing Materials.
Understanding Building Science.
